Top Ten Ways to Practice Salsa Dancing
Tony Rausseo Articles, Dance Classes, Leisure
There are many different ways you can Practice Salsa Dancing. However, most people find that the biggest challenge they face is finding the time to practicing dancing on a regular basis. We’ve listed a few suggestions that have worked incredibly well for others. We hope this can also help you. Cutting out time to dance each week does not mean you must give up other responsibilities in order to have enough time. It simply means you need to be creative to find small pockets of time where you can practice salsa dancing and enjoy yourself at the same time.
1. Sign up for salsa private classes which provide in-depth, one-on-one instruction with an experienced and qualified dance teacher.
2. Enroll in group salsa lessons and learn with a group of people in a comfortable and enjoyable atmosphere. This is a great way to make new friends while learning to dance.
3. Take twenty minutes and practice in the morning to begin your day with exercise and to get the movements and rhythm of the dance ingrained in your mind and body.
4. Attend classes one to three times a week to gain the most opportunity to learn as quickly as possible. If attending classes this often is not realistic, practice along with instructional salsa DVDs while at home.
5. Listen to salsa bands when you are driving, cooking, and doing chores around the house. This will help your body to grow accustomed to the beat and tempo of Latin music.
6. Hold dance party nights at your home two or three times a month. Provide salsa tutorial DVDs which can be downloaded, salsa music, and food and drinks. After you have had refreshments with your friends, you can laugh and dance the night away and get in a good amount of practice while having fun.
7. Salsa dance at home with your kids as a means to spend time with them and to practice dancing at the same time. This will stimulate you and the kids both and provide for a refreshing break from the day.
8. Sign up for private salsa classes and offset your one-on-one instruction by joining a group class on weekends so you have more partners to dance and practice with.
9. Rekindle the romance and excitement in your marriage and practice salsa dancing at home with your spouse using dance instructional DVDs.
10. Have fun and go out dancing to salsa clubs on weekends. Every bit of practice you get will help you to become more familiar with the moves and steps to the dance.
Adding the thrill of dancing to your life can make a great impact on your confidence level and can boost your self-esteem. Finding the time to dance is as important as finding the time to have relax time. Everyone must get off the work wheel and be able to do something they enjoy each week. Look for areas in your life where dancing can be fit in so you can get the practice that will keep you inspired and motivated.
