Salsa Dancing Has Helped Me Balance My Busy Professional Life.

Salsa dancing first became a part of my life one year ago when my husband urged me to sign up for dance lessons with him.

My husband has always had a passion for dancing, but I have never had much of an aptitude for it. After he insisted we

give dancing classes a try, we decided to sign up for salsa classes. We chose this type of dance class because salsa

dancing seemed more vibrant and exciting than the typical line dancing or ballroom style movements.

Though he never said so, I am quite sure my husband realized how much pressure I was in with my work. As a professional

business woman, my career took up a large portion of my time and the stress and time spent working seemed to increase as

each month passed. Once we began taking salsa classes, I began feeling the relief from stress. The physical exercise and

the time to spend with my husband doing something we both enjoyed made for a wonderful balance between my work and my

personal life.

It took me a few classes to pick up the steps and to become comfortable salsa dancing. I am not a naturally talented

dancer so I really had to give it my all so I could master salsa dancing; but once I did, it certainly felt wonderful. The sense of

accomplishment I got from mastering dancing made me feel great.

I would highly recommend salsa classes to anyone who leads a busy career life and needs to find something to break up

one long work day after another. We often get so caught up in our busy professional lives that we forget to take time to have

fun and spend with our spouses doing something enjoyable.
