Amy always wanted to learn salsa dancing, but could not get her husband Richard to attend lessons, mainly due to fear of failure-or worse embarrassment. After a few weeks of convincing her husband, he gave in after the couple found the Hot Latin Salsa Dance Studio on the internet at www.hotlatinsalsa.com.
Upon entering the dance studio for an evening group lesson, Amy's husband’s anxiety seemed to increase as he departed from the dressing room after having changed into proper dance shoes and comfortable clothing. As they crept onto the wooden dance floor, they watched the sensuous moves as the Salsa dancer’s effortlessly flowed across the studio floor.
Tony Rausseo, owner of the studio immediately recognized the anxious and fearful look seen on the faces of so many beginning dancers, stopped the choreographed moves with his partner and said “No worries, just relax. I was told I would never be able to dance and look at me now. At our studio, we prepare your body and mind for dancing, so let's get started.”
Amy, even Richard are now thoroughly enjoying their dance lessons, a little bruised, yet less intimidated, thanks to their patient and capable instructors that allow them to ask questions, and perfect the steps they have been taught. After a few weeks of lessons, Amy and Richard are feeling more comfortable with the dance moves, but say jokingly “We aren't quite ready to go into competition; at least not yet.”
