ETHICS AND PERSONAL HYGIENE
A dancer must strive for self-improvement at all levels: dancing develops particular areas of one’s personality. It is important to a few points in mind that, although they may seem trivial, take on greater significance when we choose to mingle with others, if only with our partner.
· Keep your breath in check when you approach others. If you tend to perspire more easily than most people, remember to take the appropriate measures to counter this unease.
· Never smoke when dancing or during your dance lesson.

· Be considerate when asking a lady to dance. Approach her with: “may I have this dance?” rather than signaling her from across the room to invite her. Once your dance is over, thank her; it was an honor that she accepted to dance with you.
· It is important never to remain on the dance floor to chat with a friend. You may be unaware of it, but you are getting in the way of dancers.
· Think of others: people appreciate considerate dancers who do not take up the entire floor for themselves. Keep in mind that Saturday night social dancing is a time for couple-dancing rather than a solo performance.
· If you have the misfortune to accidentally bump someone while dancing, offer your apologies along with a smile; it is the least one can do. A smile has unimaginable powers and can be all it takes to be forgiven.
This dancer does not take a chance before going out dancing. He works on self-improvement, at all levels, when it comes to his ethics hygiene dance floor.
